Al has represented clients in all aspects of litigation and transactional work arising from his extensive real estate practice. In the area of transactional real estate, Al represents buyers and sellers in the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, development and construction agreements, real estate brokerage agreements, and other documents relating to real property acquisition, ownership, leasing, and disposition.
Al has extensive experience in real estate and commercial litigation encompassing a broad range of issues, including the prosecution and defense of brokerage commission cases, state licensing violations as well as the defense of real estate brokers in fair housing litigation. He is general counsel for several Realtor organizations, including the Brooklyn Board, the Manhattan Association, the Staten Island Board, and the Ulster County Board. Al is also an Adjunct Lecturer with New York University and a GRI instructor with the NYS Association of Realtors. Having been appointed an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, he is assigned cases involving real estate brokerage commission disputes and other commercial matters.
